Nick studied under Denis Matthews at Newcastle University and has had a busy and varied career in classical, musical theatre and jazz.

Nick taught at Arts Ed London, as well as RADA, Manchester Metropolitan University, Oxford School of Drama, and the Conservatoire de la Dordogne.

Currently Nick teaches and plays at the Centre for Advanced Training at The Glasshouse Gateshead (formerly Sage Gateshead) and has just retired from his post as lecturer at the University of Cumbria.

Nick regularly accompanies the cellist, Deborah Thorne and soprano Mary Hitch, and the Wordsworth singers.

Nick became the accompanist for Newcastle Choral Society in December 2021
